On Sunday I set a new NASA TTF record at Putnam Park, a 1:25.176 that bested a prior record by about 4 tenths. As the video shows, there is still plenty of time to make up, but the track conditions in this session were the most favorable all weekend.

And now the “after”, stickered up at Putnam Park for a NASA race weekend. I competed in the TTF class Saturday and Sunday and won both days, with runs that would have also put me on the podium in a packed TTE class.
For this setup, I added the 15x8 Enkei PF01s with 205/50-15 Nitto NT01s. Final weight ranged from 2,620-2,650 depending on how full I ran on fuel. I haven’t taken plain pictures in a while, but I detailed the car before placing the vinyl on it. It still cleans up well for a track car! I haven’t taken plain pictures in a while, but I detailed the car before placing the vinyl on it. It still cleans up well for a track car!

Since my last update, I’ve had to add some of the rear interior back in to make weight for NASA TTF. It looks a little funny, but I managed to put about 55 pounds worth of OEM stuff back in. Good to go! I need to be no less than 2,600 pounds when coming off track, including myself and fuel.

Ran a new personal best this weekend at Putnam Park on street tires (Bridgestone RE11). Will be back in two weeks for my first time trial of the year!

I autocrossed last weekend for the first time with the Red RS; it was a great time! I finished 4th out of 81 in raw time.

The Red RS after a successful weekend at Putnam Park! I ran a new personal best and enjoyed the peace of mind from my new safety setup. I also moved up into the instructor/advanced run group and was able to have a lot more clean and fast laps.

Drove it to and from the track on the same NT01s!

A quick shot at how the roll bar padding and camera mount are set up.

One more Miata. This is another friend’s super clean Mariner Blue Miata that I will be running against this year in NASA TTF.
